Determine what magazine your ad will be published in.
Who is your target audience? Ages 55 and older? Teens? Middle age mothers?
1. On the back of your printed advertisement, write the name of the magazine you choose to be published in.
2. Identify and and explain the following:
~ concept - the comprehensive idea that brings everything together
~form- the elements and principles that you will use in your design
~ content- the essential meaning
3. Get a blank piece of paper and create a full page color sketch of your "redesign."
Keep in mind the target audience as well as concept, form and content.
*Remember the goal is to take an ad from 1980 or before that you admire. Take this ad, and redesign it into a contemporary style. You will use today's style of photography, illustration and typography to achieve this.
